The Brandon Lang Fade/Follow Thread

Somebody in my other Lang thread posed the question of how a person would do if they Faded Lang when he was on a favorite and followed him if he was on a dog?

Lang does seem to do better when he is on a dog so what better way to find out than track him and see how it plays out. Since it is still early in the new year why not find out.

The only time we won't have a play is if a game line is a pickem when Lang releases the play.

So far after 7 days in January this is how it has played out...


Jan 01: Oregon +3, WINNER, +100 Dimes / FOLLOWED
Jan 02: Indiana +3, WINNER, +50 Dimes / FADED
Jan 03: Nebraska +5, LOSER, -27.5 Dimes / FADED
Jan 04: Titans +4.5, WINNER, +150 DIMES / FOLLOWED
Jan 05: Vikings +8, WINNER, +100 Dimes / FADED
Jan 06: OK State +1/PK/-1.5, LOSER, -27.5 DIMES / FADED
Jan 07: Baylor +3.5, WINNER, +25 Dimes / FADED


That puts the system record at 5-2, +370 Dimes so far.

In the case of the January 6th game, at the time Lang released the play, West Virginia was still a small favorite. The line went to a pickem and then OK State wound up the favorite a couple of hours before tip. I counted this as a loss for the system only because of the fact that the opening line had West Virginia as the favorite. This is one of those lines that a system player might pass on but for record keeping purposes I counted it as a loss.

One other thing, If Lang is on a dog and advises to buy a 1/2 point, the system will mirror this and also buy the 1/2 point. When Lang is on a favorite and advises buying a 1/2 point the play will be to fade him and take the dog and the system WILL NOT be buying any extra points.

On a side note, this is just a TRACKING thread.

Back in the good ole days Lang's picks were posted daily before the games started. These days Lang's picks get posted few and far between and are mainly controlled by the Lang buy group which doesn't allow its members to post before the games start.

Hopefully we won't get many posters nagging about "what's the play" on days where it does not get posted which will probably be quite a few days.

Well since it's Lang and he uses Dimes, I'm just gonna stick with his Dime amounts.

Just going to keep it simple and say the system is betting $1 for every dime.

Lang never really says how much each dime is worth but usually when he brags about a winning streak he usually says his $10 a dime betters are up blah blah amount.

I faded last night and it was posted across the street. I faded because it wasn't a road dawg, which is what I've noticed Langer is closer to 50% or better on, if he choose that. This was a road dawg at +6.5, at a superior team's house.

I bet you the best way, or a better way to investigate, would be asking "Is this a public play?" and getting one's hands on (I don't think it's that hard) the # of bets on a side, usually sportsinsights had this or action network, or both (Action may have bought them can't remember). If the public number of plays is greater than 50% on Lang's team, you fade.

What do you guys think about that?

I've been following this "Lang" system for years....it profits! BUT I don't follow anything under 50 dimes....only 50 dimes and higher plays it seems to filter out and produce better results. From your record above its 5-0 so far! Thanks for starting this so we can all see!
